Let's talk resolutions! What are some of your new year resolutions? Are you looking to relax more, read more, be healthier...? I can say that one of my resolutions is to prep my meals for the week in advance so that I can spend more time doing other activities once I'm home from work. This is a bit of a change, but so far the GAINZ are greater than the pain!

This is Becky Bartlett. Every winter, I switch from outside walks to elliptical as my daily exercise. (Sometimes, I hike around in the snow, too, because it's pretty.) This year, I want to really increase my endurance to half hour on the elliptical, up ten minutes from last year. So far, I've really been on track. I do need to add some kind of arm strengthening exercises (something very doable), as the elliptical does nothing for this area. In the summer, row our canoe, and I need to get more strength for this. Hopefully, when I get out on my hikes this spring, I'll be able to do even more in regards to terrain. I actually do great with the hiking components, but the climbing gives me a little more trouble.
ReplyDeleteBecky - Way to go on your goal of uping your time to 30 minutes!!! In terms of adding some strengthening your upper body I might recommed some wall push-ups and maybe some chair tricep dips. If you have questions about either of these movements please let me know and I'll be happy to help you out!!
